Relationships Made to Endure

Now, Nobody can say I’m downright satisfied being bored with most men (who isn’t?) and not crack a smile. Even then, I’m not unhappy about it, either. I just mention it in this blog as an ear-catching personal tidbit foreshadowing what I will shortly discuss honestly.

A week ago today I was walking the dog, Trisha, pondering about signing up for the Phoenix Great Expectations dating service. As of this minute, I type to the blogosphere as a surprisingly pleased member of the dating service. Seriously, and I almost don’t believe it myself! It’s great! If you have read my old blog, you’re probably thinking, “You got some ’splainin to do, Lucy!”

So, I saw these Great Expectations Reviews and felt encouraged. They’re for quality and professional singles who know dating should have a point.

‘Cause I’d never been interested in this silly social phenomenon a lot of singles have christened “The Dating Experience.” I heard it more than you know. Every night friends pester, “Are you two serious yet?” and “Please tell me you two are dating.”

“Baloney!” I reply, without missing a beat. “Not after that last blind date you set me up on.”

“Whatever doofus,” they level with me. “How would you know, you haven’t seen Friday Night Magic in a year!”

Thankfully, that’s my sister (she’s the best) (hehe) Patty Feldman. She sets reality to my mind 99% of the time. Caring souls I depend on for fresh advice. No countering that, and I thank her for it.

Returning to the theme of this blog entry. As I picked from hundreds of combinations of outfits for my first date with Great Expectations, a revelation hit me true. Over the last year, I hadn’t held the greatest of figurative great expectations for dating and myself in the fun-filled journey of being human. Being single isn’t so bad, especially when you get out there and have fun. Embracing your own great expectations works terrifically for those who believe.
