Mark Stroman executed

After the September 11 2001 terrorist attacks, Mark Stroman decided that he was going to repay the terrorists back for attacking the country, or so he claimed to the police. That’s when Stroman went on a shooting spree that killed two and injured one. The lawyers that Stroman had representing made several attempts for an appeal, but ultimately were denied by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. What landed him on death row was the murder of Vasudev Patel who was a lowly convenience store clerk that just happened to be working that day. Mark Stroman attacks targeted only people of Middle Eastern descent.

He attacked people on several occasions until he was arrested in 2001. Mark Stroman was executed in June of 2011. The victims only survivor was his son, who sued to have the final penalty for Mark Stroman overturned. He said that it was a religious belief to forgive. In 1903, a man named Tremaine organized the Aeolian, Weber Piano and Pinnela Company. Here he combined large piano companies in order to produce pianos at less expense than one piano at a time.

The short grand, baptized by Albert Weber the “baby grand,” has become the instrument of our time. It still has the round tone, elastic and easy touch, and never-failing repetition in the action as it did 200 years ago.

Weber, along with others, engaged great soloists for concert work in large cities that created popularity for the Weber piano as the wealth grew in the United States.

Albert Weber born July 8, 1828 in Bavaria came to New York well educated and with a good knowledge of music. He served an apprenticeship. He taught music to provide for himself.

Weber was such a thorough piano maker, and perfect performer on piano, that he knew how to utilize the best methods for construction. He used the best talent, best workmen and spared no expense to improve the tone or quality of the piano. He inspired his workers to take pride in their work. All this made his pianos to be acknowledged second to none. The Weber piano was chosen by the opera singers for the sympathetic musical tone. This became known as the “Weber tone.”

Weber was a most interesting entertainer, usually convincing a buyer to purchase a piano after hearing Weber play.

Weber did not delegate his business work, but tried to do everything himself, which became too much and he died at the age of fifty.
